Directoire Style French Desk ON HOLDWriting desk from the Art Deco period in France and in the Empire style. This piece is finished with an ebonized museum quality French polish. The top is covered in an original tan leather writing surface with a gold leafed embossed trim. The desk has two dovetailed drawers of gilded brass pulls. It is adorned with brass Grecian details above the tapered legs. There is a pull out leaf on each end to expand the working surface.
